Abstract

|
Cefazolin was given to the following 25 patients; 10 with pneumonia or lung abscess, 6 with urinary tract infections, 8 with septicemia and 1 with typhoid fever. This antibiotic was given intramuscularly or intravenously in doses of 1-4gm/day. Excellent or good clinical effect was obtained in 22 of 25 patients, the effectiveness-rate being 88%. No serious side effects were observed, except sligh dizzy pell in one. Careful observations showed no functional abnormality of liver, kidney and blood 1icture.
